City and University

CITY
A City where we'll go is Stoke-on-Trent localised between Manchester and Birmingham, is a capital of Ceramics (Pottery).

Ceramics' Stoke is very famous in England, is a rich heritage by Wedgwood who have built a factory of Ceramics in 1759. This spring a new place about Wedgwood open is door a "Weedgwood Visitor center and museum"in Stoke-on-Trent
   

In this city there are 4 gardens :
- Trentham Gardens
- Dorothy Clive Garden
- Bridgemere Garden world
- Biddulph Grange Garden
2 historic house:
- Rode Hall and Garden
- Ford Green Hall
  
And one special parc: the Trentham Monkey Forest, 60 acres of forest with 140 barbary macaques roaming. You can walk next to this monkey, only here in England !


The most important: a football team "Stoke City", is a team which play in barclays premier league since 2008. His stadium's name is "Britannia stadium", because a historic sponsor of this team was the brand britannia.
The nickname of this team is "The Potters" in reference at the activity of the city


 




About a specialities at Stoke, there is a Titanic Brewery who produce several beers such as the Steerage, the Iceberg, the White Star, the Stout and the Plum Poter. We are impatient to taste this beer for give our opinion.

UNIVERSITY
This name is Staffordshire University, was founded in 1900 with intention to further education opportunities in North Staffordshire but at the depart was not college, only in 1914 become a college. In 1970 was formed a North Staffordshire Polytechnic, and  in 1992 granted University status.
Today there are 9000 student enrolled at Staffordshire per year.
In 2014 for is 100 years, the school have receved two team of cricket the Cadman Comets versus the Mellor Meteor.
